Baseball Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Caldwell Redskins        
        
		
            
 The Warren Warriors will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against the Caldwell Redskins at 5:00  p.m. Warren's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Caldwell's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 On Thursday, it was a hard-fought  contest, but Warren had to settle for  a  5-4 defeat against Cambridge.
  Trent Taylor was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he  struck out ten batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Taylor has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  John Blair was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Caldwell beat Shadyside 6-3  on Thursday.
 Warren has  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record  this season. As for Caldwell, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Warren came up short against Caldwell in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023, falling  11-7. Can Warren avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
