Baseball Game Preview: Green Sea Floyds Trojans vs. Marion Swamp Foxes

The Green Sea Floyds Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Marion Swamp Foxes at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Green Sea Floyds has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Green Sea Floyds and Latta have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. Green Sea Floyds lost 19-9 to Latta. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Marion was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against Latta, falling 21-1. Swamp Foxes fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Vikings since on Thursday.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Green Sea Floyds, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Green Sea Floyds came out on top in a nail-biter against Marion in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Green Sea Floyds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
