Softball Recap: Elizabeth Forward Drops Season-High Score on Derry

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elizabeth Forward). They blew past the Derry Trojans 23-2 on Wednesday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

Julia Resnik was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Sophie Pasinsky was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Elizabeth Forward always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .806. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Elizabeth Forward pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Derry, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

As of now, neither Elizabeth Forward nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
