Softball Recap: Algonac Comes Up Short

Algonac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Armada Tigers, falling 14-7. The Muskrats were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Algonac saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Reams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Reams' first of the season. Another was Autumn Dueweke, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Algonac's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-5. As for Armada, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Armada beat Algonac by a score of 13-5 later that day.
