Basketball Recap: Lejeune Comes Up Short

Lejeune played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 61-21 loss at the hands of the Swansboro Pirates. The Devil Pups have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Madison McQueen was Lejeune's leading scorer, having posted 16 points.

Lejeune's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Swansboro, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Lejeune will venture away from home to challenge Neuse Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Swansboro, they will welcome Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jacksonville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.
