Basketball Recap: Argo Comes Up Short

If Argo was feeling good fresh off their 51-23 takedown of Lisle last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Argo Argonauts took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillcrest Hawks on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Argonauts of the 49-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Argo's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Hillcrest, they moved to 9-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Argo will head out to take on Elmwood Park at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hillcrest, they will venture away from home to challenge Shepard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
