Football Recap: Sunlake Takes a Loss

Sunlake fell victim to Land O' Lakes and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Land O' Lakes Gators, falling 26-0. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kate Smith threw for 90 yards on 13 of 21 attempts. Miley Falby was her top target, picking up 35 receiving yards.

Land O' Lakes found their leader in sophomore Sophia Spiegel, who threw for 227 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81% of her passes.

Sunlake now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Land O' Lakes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Sunlake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 27-6 win against River Ridge on the 27th. As for Land O' Lakes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 44-6 victory against Zephyrhills on the 4th.
