Baseball Recap: Greens Farms Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Greens Farms Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on Saturday.

Greens Farms Academy's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Casey Blattman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That run was Blattman's first of the season.

Greens Farms Academy pushed their record up to 5-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Marianapolis Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Greens Farms Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Hamden Hall Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marianapolis Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Springfield Commonwealth Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
