Volleyball Recap: Cigarroa Takes a Loss

Cigarroa lost against Sharyland back in August of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Toros fell just short of the Rattlers by a score of 2-1. The Toros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cigarroa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-3, 15-7.

Cigarroa's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Sharyland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cigarroa will square off against Rio Grande City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sharyland, they will be playing at home against McAllen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
