Basketball Recap: Sturgis Comes Up Short

Sturgis lost against Plainwell back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sturgis Trojans came up short against the Plainwell Trojans, falling 41-20. The matchup marked Sturgis' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sturgis has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Plainwell, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

When Sturgis and Plainwell next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Sturgis will try to stop Concord's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Plainwell will square off against Edwardsburg and their three-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
