Baseball Recap: Strayhorn Takes a Loss

Strayhorn lost against Tupelo Christian Prep back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Strayhorn lost 12-2 to Tupelo Christian Prep. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Strayhorn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Brister, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. Brycen Hill also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Strayhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strayhorn will venture away from home to face off against Potts Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they will take on Baldwyn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
