Volleyball Game Preview: Palm Desert Aztecs vs. Xavier Prep Saints

Palm Desert has won four straight games at home, while Xavier Prep has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Aztecs will host the Saints at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

On Wednesday, Palm Desert got the win against Palm Springs by a conclusive 3-0.

Palm Desert got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 30-28.

Meanwhile, Xavier Prep made easy work of La Quinta on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-10.

Palm Desert better focus on containing Arianna Padilla and Aubree Burrell as the pair were huge in Xavier Prep's win. Padilla had 14 digs and one assist, while Burrell had five aces. Those five aces gave Burrell a new career-high. Lyla Barkett also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Palm Desert's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Xavier Prep, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
