Basketball Game Preview: Wausau East Lumberjacks vs. Northland Pines Eagles

The Wausau East Lumberjacks will take on the Northland Pines Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wausau East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Wausau East is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Wausau West just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Friday. They fell to the Warriors 63-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (55), the Lumberjacks still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northland Pines). They blew past Gillett 83-16 on Saturday. With the Eagles ahead 54-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Wausau East's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2. As for Northland Pines, their win bumped their record up to 9-6-1.
