Basketball Recap: Camden County Gets the Win

Camden County lost to Currituck County back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Camden County Bruins came out on top against the Currituck County Knights by a score of 63-56.

Despite the defeat, Currituck County had strong showings from Jamie Dance, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, and Tristan Peterson, who went 6 of 8 en route to 18 points and eight boards. The contest was Dance's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Vaughn, who posted seven points.

Camden County's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Currituck County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

Camden County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-42 loss against Northeastern on the 29th. Currituck County has also already played their next game, a 74-55 defeat against First Flight on the 30th.
