15 must be Monte Vista's lucky number: they beat Sanford with that score not once but twice  on Saturday. The Pirates beat the Mustangs by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  15-6. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six  runs or more this season.
 Landon Sanchez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 In other pitching news,  Kobe Jiron looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 Back at the plate, Monte Vista got a  massive  performance out of  Kaden Madrid, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  Madrid has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Manny Jiron, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Monte Vista was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .412. They are  a perfect 12-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The  win made it two in a row for Monte Vista and  bumps their season record up to 14-6. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Sanford,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-10.
As of now, neither Monte Vista nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
