Basketball Recap: Chiles Skates Past FAMU DRS with Ease

Chiles won the last time they faced FAMU DRS and things went their way on Saturday too. The Chiles Timberwolves breezed by the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers to the tune of 78-46. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-17.

It was another big night for Isaiah Bundrage, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Parks, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 20 points and seven boards.

When it comes to explaining why FAMU DRS lost, don't look at Jacquez Johnson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Johnson a new career-high. Oriyon Jefferson was another key player, putting up six points.

Chiles' victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for FAMU DRS, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Chiles wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-50 loss against Florida State University High School on the 25th. FAMU DRS has also already played their next match, an 82-51 win against Tallavana Christian on the 25th.
