Softball Recap: Shirley Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Shirley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against the Calico Rock Pirates, falling 16-1. The contest marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Shirley dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Calico Rock, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Coming up, Shirley will face off against West Side at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calico Rock, they will head out to take on Flippin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
