Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Comes Up Short

Rock Hill saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waxahachie Indians. The Blue Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chierika Okororie paced Rock Hill's offense, picking up five kills. Okororie got some help from Tiyana Bhatte and her 13 assists. Finally, Okororie was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Kendall Hernandez was the offensive standout of the match as she had five digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last two contests.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Waxahachie, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Rock Hill has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Princeton on the 2nd. As for Waxahachie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Rockwall on the 2nd.
