Volleyball Recap: Northwest Vikings vs. Lincoln Southeast Knights
Northwest was the 2-0 winner over Lincoln Southeast when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Saturday.
Ava Janulewicz paced Northwest's offense, picking up eight kills. Janulewicz got some help from Kenna Bowman and her 17 assists. Finally, Tessa Scheer kept Northwest's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Lincoln Southeast was led to victory by Circe Tallman and Ella Strasburger. Tallman had six digs and four assists, while Strasburger had four digs and three aces.
Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lincoln Southeast, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Kearney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln Southeast, they will challenge Lincoln East on Tuesday.
