Baseball Recap: John Glenn Takes a Loss

John Glenn's last matchup with Port Jefferson could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Knights lost 8-1 to the Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-8 on Wednesday.

John Glenn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Bletsch, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

John Glenn has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Port Jefferson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

Coming up, John Glenn will square off against Pierson at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Port Jefferson, they will take on Southampton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals are facing the Mariners at the right time seeing as the Mariners are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
