Dulaney is 8-2 against Perry Hall since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Dulaney will square off against Perry Hall at 4:00 p.m. Dulaney is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Dulaney proved they can win big on Monday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Catonsville 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Madison Schupple was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schupple was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Kimani Dennis was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perry Hall). They skirted past Sparrows Point 9-7. The Gators haven't had any issues with the Pointers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Like Dulaney, Perry Hall also got a great game from a two-way player: Savannah Carl. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave Carl a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those hits were her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shalimar Lopez, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Amber Deems was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Perry Hall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Dulaney's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Perry Hall, their record is now 2-3.
