Recap: North Royalton Bears vs. Hudson Explorers

The North Royalton Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hudson. If North Royalton was looking for revenge after losing 49-39 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooklyn Gambino, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Avery Keitlen, who scored eight points along with three steals.

North Royalton dropped their record down to 3-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.8 points per game. As for Hudson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

North Royalton will head out on the road to square off against the Grizzlies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wadsworth presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bears in Ohio (the Grizzlies are ranked 46th, while the Bears are ranked 456th). As for Hudson, they will be playing at home against the Blazers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
