Basketball Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Florence Township Memorial on Thursday, Triton came back down to earth. The Triton Mustangs were beaten by the Overbrook Rams 62-20 on Friday. The Mustangs lost against the Rams in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 52-34 score last time.

Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Overbrook, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triton will head out to take on Delsea at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Overbrook will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Collingswood at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Collingswood's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Overbrook's offense will have their work cut out for them.
