There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. There's a new number one at the head of the rankings as well as a new caboose.
Welcome
The power rankings welcomes a newcomer to the scene as Spaulding earned the 25th spot after its strong showing last week. It kept its opponent Oxbow off the scoreboard entirely, winning the match 32 - 0. Spaulding's offense might have been extra motivated to turn things around after difficulties scoring in its previous game.
No Stoppin 'Em
The match between U-32 and Burr & Burton last week put some strain on the scoreboard; in fact, with a total of 78 final points, it was the highest scoring contest in the power rankings for the week. Burr & Burton put the hurt on U-32 with a conclusive 62 - 16 victory. The win raised Burr & Burton up one spot in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Rutland (6th in the power rankings) and Bellows Free Academy (5th). This will be the second home game in a row for Rutland. Will it repeat its success, or will Bellows Free Academy bounce back and dish team a defeat?
