Basketball Game Preview: Harvard Cardinals vs. Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons

The Harvard Cardinals will challenge the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 22 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Harvard and three for Wilcox-Hildreth.

Last Friday, Harvard was beaten by Shelton 66-4. The contest marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Wilcox-Hildreth took on Overton last Tuesday. Wilcox-Hildreth took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Overton.

Harvard will need to focus on slowing down Kaleb Johnson, one of several Wilcox-Hildreth players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 11 points and five rebounds. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Lienemann, who scored 11 points.

Wilcox-Hildreth's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Harvard, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-21.

Harvard was dealt a bruising 65-10 loss at the hands of Wilcox-Hildreth when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harvard was down 32-8.
