            Volleyball Recap: Doherty Spartans vs. Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            Doherty was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They lost  3-0 to the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the  3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2024.
 The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21,  25-19.
 Ryan Kaiser paced Doherty's offense, picking up 12 kills. Kaiser got some help from  Elijah Morrison and his 22 assists. Finally,  Kaiser was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.
Doherty's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cheyenne Mountain, the  win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.
 Doherty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  defeat against Sand Creek on the 22nd. After both having extra time off, Cheyenne Mountain and Coronado will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 5:30  p.m.  on April 1. Coronado will roll in looking for their  tenth straight  victory, something Cheyenne Mountain surely won't give up without a fight.
