Basketball Recap: West Michigan Aviation Academy Comes Up Short

West Michigan Aviation Academy lost against Maple Valley back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. West Michigan Aviation Academy took a 31-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maple Valley Lions. West Michigan Aviation Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maple Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abbigail Harvey, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Harvey a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Ines Sanchez Feito, who posted 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

West Michigan Aviation Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Maple Valley, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-19.

Coming up, West Michigan Aviation Academy will challenge Black River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maple Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
