Football Game Preview: Provine Rams vs. Holmes County Central Jaguars + Official Tickets

The Provine Rams will take on the Holmes County Central Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Provine has given up an average of 29.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Provine is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Vicksburg on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rams were outmatched by the Gators and fell 55-6. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

CHARLES YATES put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 72 yards and one score. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 55 yards.

Meanwhile, Holmes County Central ended up a good deal behind Lanier on Thursday and lost 38-22. The contest marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Provine and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Holmes County Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
