Basketball Recap: Midd-West Comes Up Short

Midd-West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 62-42 to the Jersey Shore Bulldogs. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Loss or not, Midd-West got some senior leadership from Nash Grover and Brandon Ferster. Grover posted 12 points and seven boards, while Ferster put up ten points and six rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for Ferster.

Midd-West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Jersey Shore, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Midd-West has already played their next matchup (against Shikellamy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jersey Shore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-51 loss against Selinsgrove on the 21st.
