Volleyball Recap: Newburyport Extends Winning Streak to Three

Newburyport extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Hanover. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Hawks. Winning may never get old, but the Clippers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (108-105) Newburyport actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Hanover still got an impressive performance from Maia Bonilla, who had 13 digs and two aces. Bonilla is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Newburyport's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Hanover, their loss ended a 12-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-4.

As of now, neither Newburyport nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
