Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Catholic Central). They were the clear victors by a 21-6 margin over the Albany Academy for Girls Bears on Thursday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Catholic Central pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Albany Academy for Girls, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Coming up, Catholic Central will square off against Ichabod Crane at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crusaders 3.6, the Riders 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
