Baseball Recap: East Ridge Comes Up Short

East Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake Minneola Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-0 defeat two weeks ago.

Haisum Osuna was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

East Ridge's record is now 7-15. As for Lake Minneola, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

East Ridge will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lake Mary Prep at 6:00 p.m. As for Lake Minneola, they are taking a road trip to challenge Osceola at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Kowboys will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
