For the second straight game, West Iredell will face off against Foard. The Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Iredell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

West Iredell will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Foard, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since March 20th.

Michael Davis tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Damien Sharpe and Sebastion Pearson did most of the damage at the plate: Sharpe scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Pearson scored a run while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance also gave Pearson a new career-high in RBI (two).

Foard dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for West Iredell, they moved to 7-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
