Volleyball Recap: Hunter Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kearns last Thursday, Hunter came back down to earth. The Wolverines fell 3-1 to the West Jordan Jaguars on Tuesday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 25-20, 25-11.

West Jordan can attribute much of their success to Tatiana Cortes, who had 13 digs and one assist. Cortes is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Hunter's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for West Jordan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hunter will face off against rival Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Jordan is set to take on their familiar foe Taylorsville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
