Baseball Recap: Lewisburg Comes Up Short

If Lewisburg was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of DeSoto Central last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Hernando Tigers on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Patriots have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Lewisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Hernando, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8-1.

Looking ahead, Lewisburg will challenge DeSoto Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hernando will be paying especially close attention to the Patriots' match: after the Patriots faces off against the Jaguars, they'll take on Hernando again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
