Baseball Recap: Calipatria Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Calipatria dropped their record down to 6-9 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Vincent Memorial Scots by a score of 15-14. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Scots earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

As for Vincent Memorial, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 26, 2024.

For Vincent Memorial's part, the team relied heavily on Armando Mendivil, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one triple. Those five RBI gave Mendivil a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Jaime, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.

Calipatria has already played their next contest, a 9-8 loss against Borrego Springs on the 15th. Vincent Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
