George Washington barely beat South Charleston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Patriots were the clear victors by  a  24-8 margin over the Black Eagles on Wednesday. Considering the Patriots have won eight matches by more than six  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
George Washington got a  massive  performance out of  Faith Tetrick, who  went 3-for-4 with four  runs and two  RBI. Those  four  runs gave  Tetrick a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Natali Tomblin, who  got on base  in four of her six plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 George Washington  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in three consecutive  contests.
George Washington pushed their record up to 16-9 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for South Charleston,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-17.
 George Washington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  8-0  defeat against St. Albans on the 9th. South Charleston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
