Volleyball Recap: Kingwood Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cy-Fair, Kingwood was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Hendrickson Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since September 7, 2024.

Alton Wascome paced Kingwood's offense, picking up eight kills. Wascome got some help from Carly Thomas and her 18 assists. Thomas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory got Kingwood back to even at 1-1. As for Hendrickson, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Kingwood has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Northwest on the 14th. As for Hendrickson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Waller on the 15th.
