Baseball Recap: West Craven Comes Up Short

West Craven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Ayden - Grifton Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 last Tuesday.

West Craven's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ayden - Grifton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Craven will welcome Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Washington's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Ayden - Grifton, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Farmville Central at 7:00 p.m. Ayden - Grifton's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Farmville Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
