Baseball Game Preview: Claremont Wolfpack vs. Glendora Tartans

For the second straight game, Claremont will face off against Glendora. The Wolfpack are taking a road trip to challenge the Tartans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Claremont took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Glendora, sneaking past 4-3.

Thomas Plotkin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Claremont is 4-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-6-1 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ramzey Farah, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Porras, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Claremont hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glendora struck out seven times.

The victory got Claremont back to even at 8-8-1. As for Glendora, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.
