It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Vallivue had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lewiston Bengals as they made off with a 7-1 win. Considering the Falcons have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Isaac Farrel was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Carson Cyganik was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.

Vallivue always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewiston only posted an OBP of .364.

Vallivue's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Lewiston, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-14.

Vallivue does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lewiston, they will challenge Burley at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bengals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
