Football Recap: Waverly-Shell Rock Takes a Loss

Waverly-Shell Rock was the 25-6 winner over Western Dubuque when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Go-Hawks fell 20-7 to the Bobcats on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Waverly-Shell Rock now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Western Dubuque, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waverly-Shell Rock will venture away from home to challenge Algona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Dubuque, they will head out to face off against Decorah-North Winneshiek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
