Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Demopolis

Central hasn't had much luck against Demopolis recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Falcons will face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Central came up short against Tuscaloosa County and fell 4-2.

Meanwhile, Demopolis entered their game against Marbury on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, Demopolis couldn't push the score so high this time.

Demopolis' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-6-2. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1.

Central couldn't quite get it done against Demopolis in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 as they fell 4-2. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
