Football Recap: Cooper City Takes a Loss

Cooper City fell victim to Stoneman Douglas and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Stoneman Douglas Eagles 48-0. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured nine defeats in a row.

Leading Stoneman Douglas to victory were Samantha Calavetta and Courtney Heymach. Calavetta threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76% of her passes, while Heymach gained 51 total yards and three touchdowns.

Cooper City's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Stoneman Douglas, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Cooper City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-6 victory against Dillard on the 13th. As for Stoneman Douglas, they will be playing at home against Monarch at 4:00 p.m. on March 20th.
