Football Recap: Bentley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bentley had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it four. They took a blow against the New Haven Rockets, falling 55-14. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

New Haven's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Darrien Wilmer went supernova, rushing for 161 yards and three TDs on only six carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 83-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Marks, who rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown.

Looking ahead, Bentley will welcome Imlay City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for New Haven, they will venture away from home to face off against Utica Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
