Recap: Park Rapids Panthers vs. Menahga Braves
The Park Rapids Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 96-36 victory over Menahga at home. The victory was familiar territory for Park Rapids who now have seven in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Park Rapids to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Larson, who scored 16 points along with eight assists. That's the first time this season that Larson posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Ryan Carroll, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Park Rapids' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.5 points per game. As for Menahga, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Rapids will square off against Staples-Motley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Staples-Motley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Park Rapids likes a good challenge. As for Menahga, they will head out on the road to square off against Pillager at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pillager has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 268 points over their last four matches.
