Softball Recap: Franklin Extends Winning Streak to Six

Franklin extended their postseason success on Thursday against Troy. They blew past the Trojans 11-1. Considering the Lions have won 19 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Franklin, bringing their record up to 29-4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Troy, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-5.

Franklin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
