Volleyball Recap: Window Rock Fighting Scouts vs. Ganado Hornets
Window Rock was the 3-0 winner over Ganado when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Scouts fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Fighting Scouts didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hornets 25-10 in the first set.
Window Rock actually scored more points across those five sets (101-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 10-25, 26-24, 18-25, 25-21, 15-6.
Ganado found their leader in sophomore Cheyenne Denetso, who had 24 digs. Those 24 digs set a new season-high mark for Denetso.
Window Rock has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season. As for Ganado, they pushed their record up to 16-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
