Football Recap: Woodland Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Jones County + How To Watch

Woodland hadn't done well against Jones County recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wolfpack managed a 20-16 victory over the Greyhounds. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wolfpack's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Greyhounds are ranked 73rd).

Brayden Rogers was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 189 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Woodland also got a significant boost from Courey Bryan, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 108 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Woodland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jones County only rushed for 97 rushing yards.

Woodland has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 34.0 points this season. As for Jones County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
