Baseball Recap: Silver Takes a Loss

Silver extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping them down to 8-11. They lost 9-1 to the Deming Wildcats. If the Slvr Ftg Colts were looking for revenge after losing 22-3 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Silver saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danian Flores, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Deming, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.

On Deming's side, Daniel Porras spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Daniel Mosier was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Olvera, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

While Silver had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
